![]() Now what we will do is select all of your images by pressing either cmd+A (mac) or ctrl+A (windows) and then press shift + to mark all the selected images with a green colour tag. I have chosen the green tag, because of a handy hot key (keyboard shortcut) that gives each image the green “Color Tag”. So, you have consolidated your list a little bit, now time for some more fine tuned filtering. It doesn’t happen often but it does help reduce the list by having a quick skim through the images. For example, anything that is motion blurred by accident or out of focus. Firstly though I will look through all the photos and quickly remove any that are well beyond workable. How do you choose out of a range of similar looking images? Well this is where I have discovered the power and helpfulness of applying “Color Tags” to images and then filtering them by that colour. Sometimes the camera cannot capture all the life of the subject and photographers have known this since the early days of being in the dark room where they used similar tools to bring more life the images they had captured.Īlright! As mentioned earlier, there is one software of choice we prefer to use for quite a while now, ever since version 8 actually! We are using Capture One Pro 11 and haven’t felt the need to look at any other software since. This allows us more room for movement in the editing process if needed.
